‘You Can Do It’
Barbara Follett, visited Stevenage Town Rugby Club on Friday 30th November to celebrate its recent refurbishment which took place with the help of the B&Q ‘You Can Do It’ awards.
Mrs Follett said, “the refurbished Club House looks great. I’m sure that Stevenage Town’s six senior sides, veterans team and over 250 youth members will make good use of the improved facilities”.
Background
The B&Q ‘You Can Do IT’ Awards are launched every January. Community projects apply and every winner receives up to £5,000 to help regenerate its local facilities.
Stevenage Town Rugby Club used their award to carry out essential refurbishment work to the rugby club’s present accommodation.
B&Q products were used to re-clad the clubhouse, renew the flooring in the changing rooms, create a boot changing area and carry out refurbishment work to the interior of the clubhouse.
