New school facility opened
Barbara Follett last week opened Thomas Alleyne school’s new Food Technology Suite and dedicated it to the memory of a much valued member of its staff.
Mrs Follett unveiled a brass plaque in the sparkling new suite with the help of the wife of technician Gareth Jones, who sadly passed away just weeks before the opening of the facility he had worked so hard to bring into being.
Mrs Follett said, “I am honoured to have been asked to open this very up-to-date facility in this very forward looking school.”
She continued “I know that Mr Jones would also be honoured”.
