MP has her cake… and eats it
Barbara Follett paid a visit to one of the town’s newest and most exciting youth projects – the SG1 café in Symonds Green.
Entirely set up and run by young volunteers. the SG1 café operates out of the Filey Close neighbourhood centre and is open every Thursday evening between 7.00 and 9.00pm
Mrs Follett said “I was extremely impressed by the dedication and initiative of the young volunteers who have worked hard over the summer renovating a disused storeroom and transforming it into a café. I hope that they, and often young people in the area, enjoy their time in it as much as I did. The snacks are particularly good.”
The SG1 Café will be open to young people every Thursday between 7.00pm and 9.00pm at the Filey Close Neighbourhood Centre in Symonds Green in Stevenage.
