A creative Christmas comes early to Roebuck School
Despite the recent warm and sunny weather, the pupils of Roebuck School in Stevenage have been preoccupied with thoughts of Christmas recently. This is because Roebuck School was this year’s chosen school for Stevenage MP Barbara Follett’s annual “Design a Christmas Card” competition.
After looking through a huge pile of entries to decide the winners, Mrs Follett visited the school on Friday 9th September to present the overall winner, 9-year-old Chloe Roberts, with her prize, £100 worth of book tokens.
Mrs Follett said “Once again this year the standard of entries was very high. All the children seemed to enjoy the competition, and I am sure that Chloe will put her book tokens to good use. Her Christmas card will be sent out to over 2000 of my colleagues, friends and family this year, and will be displayed and enjoyed in many different countries”.
