The world’s biggest coffee morning
Barbara Follett MP joined the thousands of other Hertfordshire residents who switched their kettles on for Macmillan Cancer Relief's World's Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September.
A self-confessed caffeine addict, Mrs Follett was happy to take part in not one, but two, Macmillan Coffee Mornings on Friday. With her novelist husband Ken she dropped into the Gordon Craig Theatre to have cappuccino and cake with Hertbeat FM’s Breakfast Show DJ Steve Folland, and then hosted another event at Stevenage Labour Party’s offices in Popple Way.
Mrs Follett was impressed and pleased that Hertfordshire had managed to organise over 900 coffee mornings this year. She said “The funds raised by these events will make a real difference to the lives of people touched by cancer.”
