Joining in the fight against retail crime
Retail crime affects every community in the UK and often has a devastating impact on those who come face-to-face with it.
Reducing the terrible and often unseen cost of these crimes is a priority for retailers and should be a higher priority for the Government. Next week, Barbara Follett MP will be attending the British Retail Consortium’s Parliamentary Summer Reception, which has a key focus on retail crime.
Mrs Follett said “Retail crime is an issue that is of utmost importance in Stevenage; the effects of retail crime are extensive and it is far from victimless, the rise in number of assaults and threats made against shop workers is worrying to say the least.”
For further information on retail crime please contact Dee Crooks or Kate Ison at the British Retail Consortium on 020 7854 8924 or 020 7854 8920.
