Coffee morning to help cancer sufferers
Barbara Follett MP would like to say a big “thank you” to everybody who joined her at her constituency office on Friday 24th September as part of Macmillan Cancer Relief’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”.
Around forty people enjoyed endless cups of tea and coffee, delicious cakes and biscuits and had a great time socialising whilst helping to raise £144.91 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
John McNeil, Hertfordshire Community Fundraiser for Macmillan popped in, as did Jenna Robinson from Hertbeat FM who arranged for Mrs Follett to be interviewed for the station via a link back to the studio.
Mrs Follett said “In the UK, one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer at some time in their lives and I am delighted that we have been able to give something back to a cause that is close to our hearts”.
