Datchworth in bloom
Stevenage MP Barbara Follett visited Datchworth Village on the afternoon of Saturday 26th June to see some of the local gardens that had been opened to the public to raise funds for the upkeep of the new hall at All Saints Church.
Residents opened their gardens to people from all over the county. Each one offered something different and, for those not of a horticultural turn of mind, there was cricket on the Green and a local jazz band.
Mrs Follett said “I am most impressed by the hard work and thought that has gone into these gardens. From the largest to the smallest they were, quite simply, beautiful”.
