Double Act for St Nick’s
Stevenage MP Barbara Follett teamed up with mayor Lillian Strange on Saturday 5th July to get the annual St Nicholas Day off to a rousing start.
Helped by local DJ Gad they encouraged local residents to visit the numerous stalls dotted about the Community Centre.
Mrs Follett had a watercolour painting lesson and, after a lot of encouragement, was persuaded to hold one of the pet iguanas on display.
Mrs Follett said "I was impressed by the community spirit in St Nicholas. Everyone had worked hard to make the day a success".
