Minister and MP attend Home-Start Stevenage AGM

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Early Years and School Standards, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, and Stevenage MP Barbara Follett joined Mayor Lilian Strange, Mayor Elect David Royall, and Patron Ken Follett at Home-Start Stevenage’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 4th July at Bandley Hill Play Centre.

Home-Start Stevenage is a voluntary organization which offers regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes. It works to prevent family crisis and breakdown and empahasises the pleasures of family life. The charity was recently given a Community Fund Grant that enables it to expand its support services to more Stevenage Families.

Mrs Follett said "Home-Start is a real rock on which families in Stevenage can lean in times of trouble".
