Re-duce, Re-use, Re-cycle

Ö.so says the motto of Aston St Mary's Church of England Primary School as Stevenage MP Barbara found out when she visited this eco-friendly school in Aston on Friday 20th June.

Mrs Follett attended an assembly conducted by members of the school's Environmental Club. The Club works on a variety of voluntary activities including composting, litter picking and sorting, energy conservation, water saving and planting.

Mrs Follett was very interested to see some of the children's current projects, including a planter made out of re-cycled car tyres.

Mrs Follett said "It was good to see young children caring about the environment in this way. Aston St Mary's is doing a great job".
