Vote on Iraq
Yesterday (26 February) I voted with the Government because I support their efforts to disarm Iraq through the United Nations.
I voted against the amendment because it was premature and took the pressure off Iraq to comply.
Self evidently, the case for military action against Iraq has not yet been proven. That is why the weapon’s inspectors are still there.
I will not support any military action without a second UN Security Council resolution and a proper vote in the House of Commons.
I do not believe in protest for protest’s sake.
