MP visits local primary school
Stevenage MP Barbara Follett visited Round Diamond Primary School on Friday 7th February 2003.
The School had a very good OFSTED inspection in May 2002. Since then, it has gained the Basic Skills Agency "Quality Mark" for Literacy and Numeracy, as well as two awards for ICT.
The School Choir was one of only two that were invited to sing at the Gordon Craig Theatre’s Christmas Festival in December.
The next challenge for Round Diamond is their forthcoming move to a new purpose-built school in the Great Ashby area of Stevenage.
Mrs Follett said "It is a pleasure to see pupils and staff working so well together".
