fitness@the leisure centre

Stevenage MP Barbara Follett attended the opening ceremony of the newly refurbished health and fitness suite at Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre on Friday 24th January.

Formally known as the Utopian Health and Fitness suite, the new facility is called 'fitness@the leisure centre'. The major revamp gives fitness@the leisure centre ninety stations of Life Fitness equipment, a Spin Bike Studio and a new Dance Studio. The suite also has "Fitlinxx", which is a computerised programme attached to the equipment.

Performing the opening ceremony with Mrs Follett were Mayor Pam Stuart, Mike McCardle of Stevenage Leisure Ltd and comedian Bradley Walsh, who is currently starring in "Cinderella" at the Gordon Craig Theatre.

Mrs Follett said "It was a real pleasure to see Stevenage people using such state-of-the-art equipment. Well done, Stevenage Leisure".
