Technology in the town
Barbara Follett MP visited the Stevenage office of software solutions and services company Birlasoft (UK) on Friday 29 November to hear their views on information technology in the town.
Nakul Passi, Business Development Manager, gave Mrs Follett a brief presentation about Birlasoft. The company has been based in Stevenage for four years. It specializes in supplying technology to industries such as healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing and high-tech. The company identifies, develops, implements and integrates innovative and profitable ways of meeting their clients needs.
Birlasoft wanted to meet with their local MP in order to better understand how they can work with local government bodies and share their experience of delivering solutions world-wide. Mrs Follett encouraged Birlasoft to approach various eGgovernment initiatives within Hertfordshire.
Mrs Follett said "Stevenage needs innovative new firms like
Birlasoft
to provide high-tech solutions and jobs."
