Infant School awarded 'Investor in People' Status
Stevenage MP Barbara Follett presented Deputy Head Rita Norgate and staff member Gwen Attree of Shephall Green Infant School a plaque to mark their recently acquired Investors in People status.
New Head Teacher Leonie Rikst said " I am privileged to be appointed to a school with a team of hard working committed professionals who really deserve this status."
Investors in People UK is a company which promotes national standards for schools. It helps them recognize areas for improvement and puts into practice a programme which focuses on the progress and achievement of pupils.
Shephall Green Infant School has 110 pupils. One quarter of the students who took the SATS writing test last year achieved level three.
Mrs Follett said "It is great to see a school wining awards for excellence. Well done Shephall Green Infants."
