Fayre boosts social fund
Stevenage MP Barbara Follett joined staff and residents at Silkin Court on Saturday morning (17th November) at their Annual Christmas Fayre.
The residents of Silkin Court displayed a wide range of hand-made crafts, bric-a-brac and home-made cakes. They also organised a raffle and competitions ≠ all to raise money for their social fund and to enable them to have a few extra treats during the year.
Mrs Follett opened the Fayre with a few words of support. She said "The residents of Silkin Court put on an amazing display. I stocked up on cakes and solved two Christmas present problems in half an hour!"
