Sign up for free national bus travel

Barbara Follett MP is urging everyone over the age of 60 or who are registered as disabled to sign up for a free bus pass. From April 1st they will be entitled to free, off-peak bus travel anywhere in the country.

Mrs Follett said; “The Labour Government has listened to what older and disabled people want and is giving them greater opportunities to travel, free of charge.

This means that my constituents, whether from Stevenage or the surrounding villages, can use buses services throughout England when they are visiting relatives or are on holiday in other areas of the country.

I want to make sure that everyone who is eligible in my constituency gets their new bus pass and takes full advantage of this fantastic scheme.“

If you are over 60 or registered disabled and want to find out how to get your new bus pass, contact your local council. If you are unsure which council you belong to, please contact Barbara Follett’s constituency office by telephoning 01438 222 800.
