Constituents' concerns

My caseworkers and I deal with a large number of problems, covering a very wide range of issues, raised by constituents. Since I was first elected in May 1997 we have been involved in 20,707 separate cases.

This year we have had 416 so far. Most of these I can do something about. Sadly, sometimes I cannot (see 'What I can, and cannot, do for you as your MP').

To give you an idea of what concerns constituents most, this year's cases are grouped into broad categories below. Lower down you will find the same breakdown for the past eleven years' worth of cases. Cases per year are indicated on the graph below.
